The further along in the journey we get, the more confidence
we gain in following our gut. I have
always fought an inner battle with indecisiveness between what I was being told
and what I felt to be the right choice … I am
sure that many can relate.
Paul has taught me many invaluable things in the short time he has
been with us. The security to follow my
intuition is one of may favorites. Lemon-aid people, lemon-aid.
I have gone against doctor’s recommendations,
sought out alternative therapies and treatments and have chosen to disregard
predictions of Paul’s future. While some
of our doctors are amazing, some where
wrong from the start …. And today, Paul is 14 months older than they told me he
was going to be.

I have also learned to seek out people that will not put
Paul in a box and label him. They are positive
and refuse to put limits on him. I have
had enough truly terrible people in my life to know the importance of those who
uplift. At the end of the day, whoever
Paul turns out to be is perfect but we also want him to have every opportunity
to reach his potential … just like the rest of our kids. And holding onto
faith, in God and in Paul, is the only way to live … cause we plan on movin’
mountains!
