To Go Seat - My review

I didn’t expect I would get so emotional about the Go To Seat that I ordered for Paul.  In fact, I was pretty hesitant to order it because, although it was reasonably priced for a special needs product, it was still a lot of money to spend on a seat that I wasn’t sure would work for Paul .... and his pretty minimal head control. : /

It is light weight seat that can be used in lots of places ... like a swing or a restaurant.

Psychologically, it can really mess you up when a product for kids with CP doesn’t work for YOUR kids with CP.  It is an emotion that I have a hard time dealing with and I avoid certain things so that I don’t have to.  Luckily, Firefly (the company that makes the product) has a 14 day return policy … and after talking to a couple of other moms that have awesome kids like P, I decided to be brave and make myself go for it.

I have been waiting anxiously for a couple of weeks … tracking the package all of the way from the UK.  It was stuck in customs for a few days so when it arrived this morning, I was like a kid on Christmas morning.

All of the kids were sick overnight but seem to be feeling better this morning so I decided now was as good a time as any to put him in it … patience has never been my strong suit.

And for the first time EVER.  Paul sat at OUR TABLE with his sisters while they ate a bowl of Frosted Flakes.  It is the little things that we take for granted … a family sharing a meal together on a Tuesday morning at the same table … this is the good stuff, people ... remember that!!

The tears are filling my eyes and I am one happy mom this morning.  I hope you enjoy your day as much as I will.   Bring on the Upsee!!  Oh, the possibilities!!  XOXO
