Feeding Pump!

I am happy to report that Paul has been doing great with is feedings!  The most exciting thing is currently happening ... for us anyway!

What is a feeding pump, you say?!  Every night, P is hooked up to a tube connected to a bag of formula and a pump that hangs on a huge medical pole in our room and it feeds him throughout the night.  He has never tolerated this very well but we believe that good nutrition will aid Paul in reaching his developmental potential.  Micah has accused me of being obsessed calculating how much Paul eats ... aaaand, it may have been the source arguments between us once or twice.

You also practically need to be a Phd to figure out how to program the thing.  They really could have made it much simpler.  If it weren't for Micah, I would never have been able to figure it out.
Since starting him on the Puree diet a couple of weeks ago, we have reached the point where Paul is getting enough calories throughout the day and we have only had to give him water throughout the night using the pump !!  HIGH FIVE!!!!

Today, things went great again.  He only threw up a little bit when I was bouncing him up and down pretty high because I forgot that Micah had just fed him.  Even then, it wasn't much and he giggled through it!  He is such a trooper.

 He did SOO well today that for the first time ever... drumroll please .... he got all his nutrition and water throughout the day!  Micah is putting Paul to bed for the first time without his feeding pump!!!
 
THIS IS MAJOR, People!! MAJOR!! 
I didn't know if this day would ever come ... I told you there was some pretty exciting stuff going on in our house, Oh yeah!
