Today, you are 2! It
will always be the best and worst day of my life full of bittersweet
memories. It was the day that changed
everything.
| Paul, on the day he was born. |
I would say that you have come a long way!!
| Pauly, today ... it blurry because he was bouncing around so much that Megan (his very favorite nurse) could hardly hold him! |
I promise to you that I will make a choice every single year
on this day to focus on the sweet and never ever the bitter. I
promise to celebrate the person that you are and all of the possibilities that
the upcoming year holds.
I gotta say, though, I think this is gonna be your year.
Today was your first day back at The Perlman Center for
“school”…. I know, I know, sort of like getting socks and underwear for
Christmas, right!?! Just exactly what
you wanted =)
You are back in the Early Intervention program and I am so
proud of how well you did today. It
started out rough and you were making me sweat but you came around and dare I
say enjoyed yourself a bit. I have a
good feeling about 2, I really do. You are
gonna do some great things, buddy, I know it.
You are back with one of your besties, Joel, and I
think you guys may get into a competition for the adorable girl that joined the
glass. I hear there are some new kids
coming in the next few weeks. I can’t
wait!
Your new therapist put on a great party for you and I can
tell they are going to be fantastic.
They are trying to figure you out and make things fun. They even had little celebration for you at school and we brought balloons to pass out to your friends!!
Today, I feel hopeful for the future and incredibly proud to be your mom. Lots of people tell me how lucky you are to have us but I know better ... we are the lucky ones, Pauly!
You have brought more joy into our lives than we deserve.
I love you more than the world little boy, little boy ... more than the world!
Happy Birthday my sweet baby!
