Where my girls at!?

They say every cloud has a silver lining.  Our journey with Paul has had its share of fear, uncertainly and heartbreak but the pieces are slowly being put back together.  In our quest  to feel whole again, little has helped this mama cope more than " my girls" ...  Other moms that I have connected with that been through similar situations.

The bond is instantaneous ... A sigh of relief when you discover someone finally just gets it.  "My girls" may not be walking the exact same path as me but we have all hit some bumps in the road.  Some may be walking along with me, they may be slightly ahead or behind but we all have felt the same heartache, confusion and guilt.  We do not judge each other's pain.

The knowledge "my girls" hold is unmatchable ... Collectively, I am pretty sure we can school most doctors.  You can't learn this stuff from a book.  We compare stories, specialists and drugs but never our children. We cheer on our kids when they meet the most subtle inch-stone and share the pain of setbacks or worse.  I have never directly spoken to some of them, but they are etched in my heart.

They have held me up, offered advice and made me laugh when I didn't think there could be anything left to laugh about.   They are a weath of knowledge and carry themselves with love, compassionate and grace.  So, this one is dedicated to my girls.   You are the shimmer in the silver lining and the pink stripe in the rainbow after the storm.    XO
